Spandrel Glass

     Temperature of spandrel glass will exceed those of heat-absorbing vision glass.   These stresses can cause breakage in place due to internal or external flaws in the glass. Manufacturer cannot completely eliminate these flaws with potential for failure. Spandrel glass is not warranted against breakage. Glasswerks provides two types of spandrel glass.

Ceramic Frit Integral part of glass Tempered or Heat Strengthened Durability Weatherability Color variety Can be applied to various glass thickness Can be fabricated into insulated units Manufactured by GlassWerks

Opaci-Coat      Opaci Coat 300 is a silicone coating that cures as a elastomeric film.  It is applied to the glass substrate at ambient temperature. It is available in a wide range of standard and custom colors.  It is water soluble and environmentally friendly.  It also meets the Federal criteria for fallout protection.
